This review says in part: “a spirited protest against … overstrained and unwarranted conceptions of Inspiration and Atonement. It was written by a layman who had … struggled for a long time with difficulties and doubts, and has … awakened to the discovery that certain representations of these doctrines ate warranted neither by Reason nor the Scriptures…. We cannot always agree with the opinions he expresses … but the book is well worth the reading, especially by some of the clergy.”. Hard Cover. Good.
