Welcome to TBCL, The Book Collector's Library, also known online as: tbclrarebooks Other than attending the occasional book fair in Canada & the US, which we used to exhibit at with greater frequency, TBCL, is a Montreal based, rare book "By Appointment Only" affair with over 30 years of experience providing interesting books & documents to an eclectic & discerning Clientèle. Our inventory, only a portion of which is online at any time is suited to both the Completist & High Spot Collector. The emphasis is on First Editions of English & American literature, Cornerstone books in Science & Travel, Livre d'Artiste, Can Lit, Mystery, Detection & Speculative Fiction, Albert Einstein, Virginia Woolf & Bloomsbury. Usually, you can find in our mix, important Presentation & Association Copies - Our Favourite Preoccupation. It can B a good idea to check with us from time 2 time, 2 C if we might have serendipitously unearthed your most important book want. TBCL also manufactures a handsome custom line of protective Collector's Clamshell Cases for Modern First Editions collectors. These cases are unique in that they feature 'Sculpted' cover designs inspired by the title's dustwrapper like Daisy's famous face from the Gatsby wrapper. Our cases are high quality, hand-crafted, elegant modern cases. We also custom make classic Antiquarian cases & slipcases in elegant leathers & fine cloth. Just let us know the titles & we'll make a recommendation or 2.
